Enchanted Woods Kid’s Camp

Summer is finally here and the search for the right kid’s camp for your child is on! Enchanted Woods Wellness Center proudly announces its brand new selection of kids’ camps that will accommodate all ages and interests. Our unique and multi-active camps provide fun-filled programming for ages 2 & up.  And our Lamoille Valley Dance Academy Dance Workshops, Classes and 4-Day Intensives offer programs for ages 4 through teens.

Nestled in beautiful wooded surroundings at 2311 Stagecoach Road in Morrisville, the bright, spacious and air-conditioned center offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that are sure to educate, inspire and entertain. The camp age groups are segregated into Wood Nymphs (ages 2-3), Fairies and Lords (ages 4-6), and Kids Rock (ages 7 and up).  Also, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip-Hop and Tap for all ages.

Our Camp activities include yoga, creative dance and movement, ballet, jazz and hip-hop, gymnastics, arts and crafts, swimming, nature walks, activity games, Native American teepee time with story-telling, educational fun facts and learning time, and snack/lunch time. And the best part is that your child remains safely onsite with certified, credentialed and experienced instructors.  There is no wasted time transporting your child to a different site for another activity.  It's all right here!

The fun begins with the always popular Wood Nymphs (ages 2-3), Tuesday-Thursday, June 20-22, 10am-12 noon. This parent/child camp offers fun and innovative teaching methods using yoga postures, creative dance movement, structured games, props, story-telling and song. You won't find another camp for this age group that offers this much varied activity for fun and learning.

Next come the Fairies and Lords (ages 4-6), Monday-Thursday, June 26-29, 9am-1pm. Your child will be encouraged to explore his/her physical abilities and imagination through various dance disciplines and playful games. This is a popular camp with limited space, so don’t wait to sign up your child. Here’s your chance, parents, to gently break the apron strings and prepare your child for pre-school and kindergarten in the fall.

Our Kid's Rock (ages 7 & Up) Camp is for our oldest camper.  Here we enjoy a variety of dance styles, gymnastics and yoga postures. Each child will be individually assessed, challenged and rewarded based on his/her specific needs and capabilities. We round out the week with an age appropriate art project.  Of course, since having fun is the number one goal, frog catching, scat and track hikes in our woods, and swimming are featured activites.

Our sister school, Lamoille Valley Dance Academy will offer a diversity of dance disciplines, including ballet, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and tap that will give the participant a chance to explore the various techniques in a welcoming environment.  This is a terrific opportunity to try out a dance style in a fun, informative and unintimidating way. You can find the complete 2017 schedule on that website at www.lamoillevalleydance.com.

Our EWWC camp activities, also, include time in our 20-foot Native American teepee, designed expecially for Enchanted Woods Wellness Center by the same company that outfitted the movie "Dances With Wolves." This is always a highlight for campers.

All camp participants will create an art project to take home; and all camp participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement at the end of their super-fun week.
